Africa Communications Week is the premier gathering for communications professionals and thought leaders looking to impact the current narrative on Africa.

ACW hosts a series of conferences, workshops and webinars around the world to encourage Africa focused communications professionals connect, engage and and impact Africa’s economic transformation through strategic communication.

The Africa Communications Leadership Report examining the impact of communications on Africa’s development was published in February 2018 featuring the research and informed opinions of communication experts from over 40 countries.

In Ouagadougou this May 25 for the second edition of Africa Communications Week.

Theme: the critical role of the technologies of the fourth industrial revolution in communication in Africa. Objective: To take the debate on the field of artificial intelligence and its consequences on the critical role of communicators. Just recently, the Cambridge Analytical scandal on data that has been retrieved by Facebook’s Artificial Intelligence system has been the subject of much discussion and is putting Africa at the center of the debates, issues and needs of digital sovereignty and control of the Nation Branding.

The theme of the event has been inspired by the African Union 2063 Agenda which aims at initiating an African Renaissance in the framework of sustainable development, democratic goals, and sovereignty.
