Andre Harrell, the music executive behind Uptown Records passed away
Andre Harrell was one the greatest promoters and voices of Black music and hip-hop. The producer and head of Uptown records passed away at the age of 59. He signed Mary J. Blige and Jodeci and gave an internship to Sean Combs before he started Bad Boys Records. He is also the music executive who signed the Boyz II Men.
